I’m so glad I was able to volunteer again this year at Believe In Tomorrow’s Benefit & Auction! I greeted the guests (there were over 800 in attendance!) and the event raised over $70,000 for Believe In Tomorrow to support critically ill children and their families. As usual the event was a great time, and for a great cause!
I also got to spend time with Spencer Folau, offensive lineman for the Ravens from 1997-2000, Candace Dold from Fox45, and some friends of mine while I was at the event!
In addition, October 27th happened to be Make A Difference Day, the nation’s largest day of service, so I hope you volunteered too!
Kids Are Heroes Day is a celebration of kids are making a difference, and I attending to help out and give information about the organization as one of their Junior Ambassadors. About 50 young people came together to promote their causes and inspire others to make a difference too! (This also happened to be Make A Difference Day, so I hope you volunteered!)
I was in charge of the certifications of community service hours for a few of the Heroes to receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award and I was excited to have those awards presented to the some outstanding volunteers at Kids Are Heroes Day!
I had such a good time spreading information and promoting the American Heart Association and their Go Red For Women movement at the Baltimore Heart Walk again this year! The event raised a total of $1,404,566! I’m so proud to work with the American Heart Association as they work to prevent, treat, and defeat heart disease and stroke!
