Believe In Tomorrow Blanket Donation

I dropped off a bunch of blankets today at the Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins! They will go to use by the critically ill kids and their families there, and I hope that they provide some comfort for the children throughout the difficulties that may come with treatment. As always, I’m glad to be supporting Believe In Tomorrow! Thanks to the M.O.D.E.L.S. who helped make the blankets!

Reach Out and Read in Ohio!

I’m so excited that I was able to visit the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio again! Margo’s M.O.D.E.L.S. made a donation of over 50 children’s books to Reach Out and Read, which promotes early literacy and school readiness! (Thanks to all who helped by donating books!) Now we’ve been able to donate a total of over 110 books to Reach Out and Read through the Nationwide Children’s Hospital!

Featured MODELS – Brooklyn Lewis

I’m excited to recognize Jennifer Monson and Brooklyn Lewis as two of the outstanding volunteers that Margo’s M.O.D.E.L.S. would like to present with the President’s Volunteer Service Awards. These prestigious awards are presented on behalf of the President of the United States to thank and honor Americans who lead by example and inspire others to engage in community service.

We are presenting Brooklyn with a Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award! After organizing a Dance Show Fundraiser to raise money, Brooklyn was able to go on a mission trip to Uganda! She has also dedicated months to help take youth to a deeper understanding and relationship with Christ through Maryland Chrysalis. Congratulations and thank you Brooklyn!

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

We are presenting Jenny with a Bronze President’s Volunteer Service Award! She has participated in various community service events, many of which were through the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women and through the American Lung Association. Her grandma started smoking as a teenager and passed away due to lung cancer at age 54. Jenny believes “lung cancer due to smoking robbed [her] of a relationship with [her] grandma.” She speaks about Keeping Kids Tobacco Free and raises awareness among kids of the dangers of tobacco use. Congratulations Jennifer and we encourage you to continue making a difference!
