Young Life Dance Fundraiser

I participated in a dance show fundraiser for Young Life, which introduces adolescents to Jesus Christ and helps them to grow in their faith. My thanks and congratulations go out to Brooklyn for creating this event! I hope that it was very successful in raising funds and awareness for Young Life.

M.O.D.E.L.S. Award – Bailey Harris

You may know that my organization and platform, Margo’s M.O.D.E.L.S. (Making an Ongoing Difference in Every Life through Service) is all about getting others involved in community service. I decided to create the “M.O.D.E.L.S. Award” to recognize youth who are role models through volunteerism and who truly understand the importance of community service.

The M.O.D.E.L.S. Award was presented to Bailey Harris. She has donated over 200 hours of community service. She has participated in service events such as Heart Walks for the American Heart Association, environmental awareness projects, making holiday cards for US troops, and at an assisted living facility. In addition, she has her own school charity called “Bailey’s Paws and Claws” to promote animal awareness and collect donations for her local animal control and adoption center. Bailey has done plenty of service, but also understands the meaning of that service. She told me that community service means “lending a helping hand” and “encouraging others to get involved for the benefit of society”. She also said that it takes “just one small person to make a big difference”.

Congratulations Bailey! Continue to serve the community as you are a true role MODEL!

Introduction on the Senate Floor

Introduction on the Senate Floor

On March 14th, I had the exciting opportunity for myself and my platform, Margo’s M.O.D.E.L.S., to be introduced on the Maryland Senate Floor!! Also, I was presented with a Resolution. Thank you Senator Getty for inviting me! This also happened to be my 16th birthday — what an awesome birthday present! I had such a great day in Annapolis. It was so interesting and such an honor!

Ronald McDonald House in Tennessee

While in Tennessee, I was able to visit the Ronald McDonald House, which creates, finds, and supports programs that improve the health and wellbeing of children. I made a donation of supplies and hope it is useful to the brave children and families at the house, as I am excited to be supporting them!
